Xiaomi launches the Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera 1080p, an outdoor camera for less than 100 €

Xiaomi has just unveiled its new CCTV camera, the Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera 1080p Set. Behind this name “extendable” hides a small device allowing to monitor the outside of the house and which is displayed at a very competitive price.

If Xiaomi already markets in France small cameras dedicated to video surveillance, the manufacturer is launching this time a new model dedicated to the outdoors. Soberly titled Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera 1080p Set, the device is sold for less than a hundred euros and is resistant to rain and high temperatures.

It is therefore a great first for Xiaomi in France which is extending its field of action and which is done a little more in home automation. Especially since the device is marketed at a hyper competitive price compared to the competition.

In addition to the launches in France of the Mi 11T, 11T Pro smartphones, the Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro tablets and other 55 ”Q1E TVs, Xiaomi has just announced the upcoming marketing of a small video surveillance camera. The Mi Wireless Outdoor Security Camera 1080p Set measures exactly 5.27 x 12.2 x 10.26 cm, and its main feature is that it can be placed outside a building.

The device can indeed operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to + 50 ° C and resists rain without flinching thanks to its IP65 certification. To prevent theft, the camera is also equipped with a system that detects abnormal movements of the device. As the name suggests, the camera is capable of filming at 1920 x 1080. In terms of storage, the camera has a Micro SD slot (up to 32 GB) and a USB port. And thanks to its 5700 mAh battery, the camera benefits from 90 day battery life.

The camera is delivered with a charging cable, a 2 meter Ethernet cable, a wall socket, fixing screws… In short, the device is normally ready to use right out of the box. Note in passing that the device requires a router (the one included in the “kit version” of the device).
