Genshin Impact update 2.3: everything you need to know

MiHoYo announced the Genshin Impact version 2.3 “Shadows in the Heart of the Blizzard” during a livestream. The patch brings a lot of new features, including 2 new Geo characters : Itto and Gorou, but also new events, an additional boss and loot equipment! The update will be deployed on 24 november. It has several surprises in store for you to celebrate the arrival of winter.

New events in Genshin Impact 2.3 release

In total agreement with the ambient cold, MiHoYo has concocted for Genshin Impact version 2.3 a brand new event that will take place at the DosDragon Mountains. This is the opportunity to cross the snow-capped mountains again and try to survive the cold. You will then find Albedo and Eula and no doubt – at least we hope – will learn more about them. But it will not be easy! Several challenges await you: a race with special bonuses, tracking training and a tough challenge, where you will have to face Cryo enemies.

In addition to these 3 challenges, you will have the opportunity to create your own snowman to then display in your Serenithéière.

On the other hand, a second event will take place at Inazuma. Your mission will be to investigate mysteriously missing animals. You will then be able to capture all the animals of Genshin Impact to place them in your Serenitheae.

Two new Geo characters in Genshin Impact

If, in the first phase of 2.3, we find two well-known 5-star characters, Eula and Albedo, other heroes, unpublished, will appear from December 14.

Arataki Itto: a 5-star Geo hero

Genshin Impact update 2.3 marks the arrival in its second phase of a hero 5★ unpublished: Arataki Itto. He leads a gang and wields a two-handed sword. The videos we have seen suggest that it will be a character who hits hard and does not cut corners. Evil oni king, his elemental outburst, can cause Geo damage with all his attacks. His DPS also increases.

Gorou: a 4-star Geo hero

You can also try to summon Gorou, a hero 4★, which you may have encountered during the Inazuma quests. The great general of the island of Watatsumi is, for his part, an archer. He will be able to grant bonuses to his comrades if they are of the same type as him.

A new boss: the Golden Alpha Wolf

the Golden alpha wolf appeared on Tsurumi Island. He will be able to summon Rift Alphas and apply the corrosion effect to the whole team.

That’s not all, you can get your hands on new sets of artifacts: Divine Chorus, which is perfect for Kokomi and Husk of Opulent Dreams, designed for Geo characters.
